# The Midnight Hour In shadows deep where silence creeps, Through hollow halls where darkness sleeps, The moonlight casts a silver sheen On things unseen, on thoughts unclean. The grandfather clock strikes midnight's toll, Its echoes shake my weary soul, While shadows dance on empty walls And distant footsteps fill the halls. The mirror shows a stranger's face, In candlelight, time leaves no trace, Of who we were, or who we'll be When morning comes to set us free. Each creaking board beneath my feet Reminds me life is incomplete, For in this hour between the days We're lost within time's endless maze. The wind whispers ancient lore, Through cracks beneath the chamber door, Of secrets kept and stories told In languages now growing old. When dawn arrives with golden light, These thoughts will fade into the night, But wisdom gained in darkness deep Are truths that daylight cannot keep. I've been working on this for 48 hours 😭😭😭
