The Jagiellonian Fair and Knights Tournament is a cyclical outdoor event that has been organised in the "Royal City" of Sandomierz for more than 20 years. This year it was held on the 6th and 7th of July. The event also includes fair stalls around the town hall. On one of the pictures (number 8) you can see jewellery made with the striped flint (sometimes called banded flint). It's a rare type of flint and can be only found within the Lesser Poland area. Due to its rarity and distinctive look, local striped flint is used for the jewellery and has become a regional export product. Sandomierz is a charming town, with many historical landmarks. If you ever get a chance, I recommend you to visit this "Royal City"! (Photo credit: Paweł Małecki)
