Just finished my 9th video game played entirely in Japanese, Shenmue 2, doubling up on the language skills by following a walk through in Japanese. If asked, many gamers would say the Shenmue series is an absolute masterpiece. My opinion: its an absolute chore to play. If it wasn't for this being great language practise, I'd have given up ages ago. The first game has you learn a load of martial arts techniques but there's only like 6 fights in the game. The sequel is the exact opposite. Plenty of fights but the moves you can have are limited. At least he mysterious girl on the box art of the first game shows up... at the end of the second game! Currently installing the third game onto my PS5 as I'm invested now. 🤣🤣 Otherwise, would not recommend！
