About a month ago, my usual grocery trip turned into an unexpected adventure 😄 On the way, I remembered a Hello Talk friend who loves drawing buildings, so I decided to find him something cool to sketch… and ended up at Newcastle West Castle! This castle is over 700 years old, built in the 13th century by the FitzGerald family, and even hosted James II of England during the 17th century. It’s one of the largest medieval castles in Ireland! The staff at the front desk told me,“Go ahead and explore,” and I felt like I’d stepped back in time as I walked through the great hall it was huge and magnificent.
