Do you find it difficult to use Keigo appropriately? I used to help with the family business since I was 7 years old. By the time I was 9 or so, I was already able to respond to our guests and phone calls appropriately (yeah, it was truly child labor if you call it, lol). So, how to maneuver it is kind of in my nature already. I'm really good at finding flaws in the Keigo of PR people from companies on TV, lol. Well, I’m old, and I know languages are always evolving. Keigo is very important in Japanese society because it not only shows your respect but also sets boundaries. I often write my Moments in English and Japanese, and my English skills aren't good enough to know how my English sounds. Quite a few Japanese English learners point out that my English sounds too polite sometimes; is it true? I write my Japanese segments here in a polite way so far, but of course, I don't always speak like that in daily life. But in English, I guess I speak just as I write here. So, for example, do I sound differently in English and in Japanese in my Moments? How polite or how casual does my English sound? I'm very curious. 日本人の英語学習者によく私の英語はpolite過ぎると指摘されます。正直なところ、敢えてpoliteにしているわけでもなく、これが私の話せる英語のすべてであって😂使い分け云々以前のレベルだったりします。 日英で書いているMomentについては、日本語の方は今のところ「ですます調」で書いていますが、もちろん普段の生活でいつもこんな風に話しているわけではありません。一方で英語はMomentに書いている感じで話していたと思います（昔海外に住んでいた頃の話）。夫（日本人）に、日本語と英語でのキャラが違うとたびたび言われたのですが、私の英語ってどんな風に聴こえているんだろう…寧ろ夫は「英語だとキャラが強くて可愛げがない」みたいなことを当時言っていたので、最近英語の再学習を始めてから言われる「shibaの英語はpolite過ぎる」ともなんか違いますよね。どういうことなんでしょう？🤔
