It’s a type of mimetic word in Japanese. 私たちは「ぷっくり」という言葉をよく使います。日本語の擬態語（ぎたいご）のひとつです。 It describes something that is rounded and puffed up. 丸くふくらんだ様子を表します。 For example, we use it for things like edamame beans, a chipmunk’s cheeks full of food, or lips with lipstick on them. たとえば、枝豆、エサを頬張ったリスのほっぺ、口紅を塗った唇などです。 It often gives a cute or charming impression.
