The Good, the Bad and the Ugly “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” is an iconic piece of film music composed by Ennio Morricone for the 1966 spaghetti western of the same name, directed by Sergio Leone. The main theme is instantly recognisable, featuring a haunting two-note motif said to represent a coyote’s howl. It’s a brilliant blend of electric guitar, whistling, trumpet, and wordless vocals — quite experimental for its time. The soundtrack became legendary and helped redefine film scores, especially for Westerns. Even today, it’s widely used in pop culture, adverts, and parodies. Morricone’s work on this film played a major part in cementing his reputation as one of the greatest film composers of all time. This is my performance of 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly', featuring a fusion of traditional Vietnamese instruments.
