What is Present Continuous? We use it to talk about: 1. Something happening now → “I am talking to you.” 2. Temporary actions → “She is living in London this month.” 3. Future plans → “We are meeting tomorrow.” ⸻ 2. Structure (formula) 👉 Subject + am/is/are + verb(-ing) ✅ Examples: • I am reading a book. • She is cooking dinner. • They are playing football. ❌ Wrong: I reading / She cooking ⸻ 3. Spelling rules for -ing verbs • work → working • write → writing (drop the e) • swim → swimming (double the m) • run → running (double the n) ⸻ 4. Positive / Negative / Questions Positive • I am studying English. • He is watching TV. Negative • I am not studying. • She is not listening. Questions • Am I talking too fast? • Is he coming to the party? • Are they playing tennis? ⸻ 5. Time expressions (very common with Present Continuous) • now • right now • at the moment • today / this week / this month • tonight / tomorrow (for future plans) ⸻ 6.
