I watched 座頭市(Zatoichi) with my goose. This was a big hit Samurai film in Japan with many grotesque expressions as a violence film including a few elements of laughter, artistic colors and chic historical drama with few words. Takeshi Kitano is originally famous in Japan as a comedian, nicknamed beat Takeshi, and sometimes works as a film director. He made an artistic remake of this movie by using CG for the blood splatter, designed fashion by Yohji Yamamoto, tap dancing for end credit, which is unusual for a samurai film. The main character was played by Takeshi. Tadanobu Asano, who became popular with "Shogun," also appeared. The first half of the movie is boring🥱but in the second half, Zatoichi starts slashing jerks😆 If you don't mind bloody scenes, it's a morality versus evil story like a stage musical, so you might feel refreshed after watching it.
