We are planting hunter tf which is a true flex gm canola unfortunately we planted three paddocks at the start of the year but due to poor rainfall it germinated and died 🥲 hunter as we call it is a cool hybrid for new farmers! This early to mid-maturity canola grows well in low to high rainfall areas, yielding up to 1.25 t/ha in trials with high oil content for cooking or biofuels. Its pods resist shattering, making harvest easier, and it’s tough against diseases. With a blackleg resistance rating of R-MR (Resistant to Moderately Resistant, meaning it’s highly to moderately protected against blackleg disease), and Group AB (a specific resistance gene profile that helps it fight certain blackleg strains), it’s a solid choice. Plus, TruFlex® technology allows flexible glyphosate spraying up to early flowering for simple weed control.
