みずはさわやかでした。- The water was refreshing. My hike from last week continued: This is a selection of photos from the waterfall (Willow Creek Falls), the destination of the hike. It is a magnificent series of cascades over huge boulders. The water is very loud as it's rushing down from from the mountains. I was extremely lucky with the timing that day. The sun was already at a low angle, but storm clouds were quickly approaching. I had about twenty minutes of sunshine, enough for photos and a rest with a quick meal. As I am looking at the photos I missed some opportunities for interesting closeups and some better framing, but it was hard at that moment to keep a clear head. The sight of the falls was pretty overwhelming and I was trying to find good viewing spots scrambling over rocks and also playing with camera settings, trying longer shutter speeds. The final photo selection was really difficult to make, I always struggle with this. Two images from the same spot shot with different settings, maybe with a slightly different focus or composition can look so very distinct. Well, I hope my choices are interesting at least. I will have a final post on this hike coming up, as I can still squeeze in a couple of waterfall shots and then photos from the return trip, which I am excited about. If you are already starting your weekend, I hope it's an enjoyable one! 🌞
