Himeji castle and Princess Sen 千姫✨ 400 years ago, there used to be a princess in Himeji castle called Sen hime. Immersing ourselves in her life can make the castle look even more graceful. Today, I'd like to introduce 姫路城 and 千姫. Himeji castle is located in Hyogo prefecture where I live and it was named a UNESCO World Cultural Site in 1993. Beside its exquisiteness, the charm of the castle lies in the princess. Sen hime 千姫 is a grand daughter of Tokugawa Ieyastu 徳川家康, the founder of the Edo Shogunate 江戸幕府 who ruled Japan. Being a princess is not an easy life. She was a political tool for the Shogun to gain power, still she finally got married a man she really loved and Iived in Himeji castle. In her tumultuous life, she spent the happiest as well as saddest times here. 姫路の姫は実在していました。 徳川家康の孫娘, 千姫です。 お姫様であったために、彼女は数奇な人生を送りました。 家康が将軍になるための「駒」として利用されましたが、最終的には好きな男性と結婚しました。 姫は人生で一番幸せで悲しい時を姫路城で過ごしました。 千姫の生涯と歴史に想いを馳せて、白く美しい姫路城をぜひ見に来てください。 I included an article I referred to.
