This trip was my first real chance to find out for myself. I traveled across cities I had only seen in photos, wandered through narrow alleyways, crossed bridges, rode subways, and watched life unfold in the rhythms of the local people. I reconnected with relatives I hadn’t seen in years, made new friends, and finally understood where some of my habits, mannerisms, and values come from. It wasn’t just a visit — it felt like rediscovering a part of myself I didn’t know was missing. 我从小在国外长大，一直很好奇我的祖国到底是什么样的。那些关于家乡的故事、传统习俗，甚至亲戚们偶尔提起的夏日回忆，都让我心生向往。 这次终于有机会亲自踏上这片土地。我走过照片里曾见过的街道，穿梭在狭窄的巷弄里，坐地铁、过天桥，看着街头巷尾的日常生活慢慢展开。也和许久未见的亲戚重聚，认识了新的朋友，逐渐明白自己的一些习惯、性格和价值观，其实早就深深扎根于这片土地。 这不仅仅是一趟旅程，而是一次重新认识自己的过程，一段与根源的连接。 ## Images 1.
