What the anvil? what dread grasp Dare its deadly terrors clasp? When the stars threw down their spears, And water'd heaven with their tears, Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee? Tyger! Tyger! burning bright In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry? 虎よ、虎よ、あかあかと 夜の森に燃えさかる。 いかなる不滅の手または眼が おまえの恐ろしい均整を造り得たか。 いかなる鎚が、いかなる鉄鎖が、 いかなる溶鉱炉でおまえの脳髄が、 いかなる鉄床（かなとこ）が、いかなる凄き握力が 脳髄のけおそろしき想念を鍛えたか。 星ぼしがその槍を投げ捨て その涙で天をうるおしたとき 造り主はおのが所産を見て微笑んだか。 仔羊を造ったものがおまえを造ったのか。 虎よ、虎よ、あかあかと 夜の森に燃えさかる。 いかなる不滅の手または眼が よくも恐ろしい均整を造り得たものだ。 The poem "Tyger" by Sir William Blake is one of his most famous works. He's considered as one of history's greats, with his poetic themes crossing into mystical, metaphysical and esoteric religious fields. Reading "Tyger" out loud is a rewarding experience. The letter "R" is scattered all over the poem. It is a tricky sound. Depending on the spoken accent (f.e. American or British English), it's created at another place in the mouth. If you're having difficulties with the "R," my opinion is - don't worry about it. It takes time for our tiny vocal chords and other parts of the mouth to adapt! I attached a part of the poem in the voice message, and I added the English original and the Japanese translation. I'm not a native English speaker, so this is challenging for me, as well. I hope my specific situation can give you some insight.
