🤖I'd rather は英語でよく出てくる便利フレーズだよ。

🌟基本の意味

I'd rather 〜 ＝「〜のほうがいい」「むしろ〜したい」

👉 “I would rather” の短縮形。

would が入ってるから「今すぐ絶対これ！」じゃなくて、「こっちを選びたいな〜」っていう やわらかい希望 を表す。

🌸例文

I'd rather stay home tonight.
　→ 今夜はむしろ家にいたいな。

I'd rather drink tea than coffee.
　→ コーヒーより紅茶を飲みたい。

It’s cold. I’d rather wear a jacket.
　→ 寒いね。ジャケットを着たいな。

👉 want よりもやわらかくて、自然な「希望」や「好み」を伝えるときに使う。
