It's now been 100 days since I started studying Japanese. My goal was not to be fluent or have basic conversations. My main goal was to be able to read hiragana and katakana. This means that if I see Japanese writing anywhere, I could read it, even if I dont understand the meaning. Throughout this time, I learnt some Kanji too, and even though I had some difficulty at first with Kanji, since it is more linked to a concept, not a sound, I believe I have gotten better. I did study every day, however I admit the intensity and the study time varied greatly each day. I was consistently inconsistent. I feel i have a good foundation now. I believe the next part will be more about immersion. Listening and seeing more Japanese throughout my daily life, though I know this can be difficult when not in Japan. And also, maybe having some real (but basic) conversions in Japanese. Also, during this time I have spoken to nice people on here, whether they are learning Japanese like me, or they are from Japan, learning English. Thank you all for supporting me and fixing my constant typos and errors.
