Recently, I came across a powerful translated version of a famous Chinese poem, and I’d like to share it with you: 今晨你的头发还乌亮似黑绸， This morning your hair was still dark like black silk, 夜晚时便已像白雪覆盖， But by night it was covered in white like snow. 谁若不愿活生生被折磨至死， If you wish not to be tormented alive, 请举起酒杯邀明月共饮！ Then raise your cup and drink with the moon! These lines are inspired by a poem from Li Bai (李白), one of the most renowned poets in Chinese history, often called the “Immortal Poet.” The original lines in Chinese are more elaborate and symbolic: 君不见高堂明镜悲白发，朝如青丝暮成雪， 人生得意须尽欢，莫使金樽空对月。 I hope you enjoyed this cultural moment!
