So, I practice using sentences that I already know and try to ask my friend questions. Recently, I had to move back to my hometown. In my hometown, Afrikaans is one of the common languages used. I forgot that I can speak two languages fluently! Afrikaans is native to South Africa and it is one of our twelve official languages. It is very common for South Africans to speak at least two languages fluently, but most South Africans can speak up to seven of our official languages fluently. My country has many diverse cultures and people, despite our difficulties, it is eye opening to live and grow up amongst so many different people! This post is very long because a lot has been on my mind about languages and culture! Pictures: I went for my first run in my new area this week, my cat decided to explore the tumble dryer and I framed the drawing and Japanese words that my friend in Kyoto made for me! ## Images 1.
