Here’s a few of my favorite pictures to celebrate it: Sorrento in the first one, Capri/Ischia/Procida (I’m unsure which island it is, sorry!) can be seen in the distance in the second. Technically Ferragosto is a religious holiday (the Assumption of Mary), but really it’s widely considered as the apex of summer, celebrating it with barbecues, fireworks etc.
