I visited Varosha, Famagusta last year, and it was quite an unusual experience. What do I mean by unusual? Well, Varosha is a closed-off area now a silent and abandoned town, almost like a neutral zone. Every street, building, and facility remains just as it was before it was abandoned. Walking through those streets felt both fascinating and sad. It’s strange to see how nature is slowly taking over what used to be a lively, vibrant place.
