There is a philistine and nefarious idea masquerading as a virtue on this application. It even takes the form of "universal truth" though it is nothing more than a point of view. Apparently, we are supposed to put up a flag of the nation of our birth, or worse, the nation of our parents birth, because that's what truly determines our native language. Many of us who were born or grew up in our adoptive homes have no clue of our parents languages, or have lost touch with the culture and language. Many of us have mastered our adopted language to demonstrate a level of erudition that the so called native speakers can only dream about. Of course we all have the right to choose our language partner the way we want. But to deny someone's nationality and identity under the guise of linguistic perfection is a disgusting ideology. I will remain someone who appreciates your linguistic skills regardless of your origins. But the amount of religious, cultural, and nationalistic Philistines on this application is rather concerning.
