Today I was at an outdoor market with a friend. We visited a crochet stall where a lady was selling handmade crochet toys. There were so many to choose from, and I picked up one that was a maneki-neko! The shop owner explained that they are symbols of good luck. My friend told the owner that I recently went to Japan, she asked so many questions about my trip as she was Japanese and said that her Mother is from Hokkaido! From this, she said from such a lovely interaction, she wanted me to have the maneki-neko toy for free🥹. I won’t forget her kindness! 💕
