people were convinced that they need a certain purpose, so that they could live their life in fulfillment. some people already decided on their lifelong missions and are commiting to it, while others struggle a lot trying to find or create something worth living for. to be honest, I belong to such people too. not knowing my exact depiction of a dream or purpose I was born to act upon made me overly anxious taking away both my time and energy. and I still don’t know nothing. but there are moments in life I believe I was born to experience - looking at a sunny sky framed by clouds making it seem like an artwork done by nature - eating the dish my mom made me and realizing again every day that it’s for sure the most delicious thing i ate in my whole life - drinking a warm black tea and feeling the way it’s warmness is spreading through my body - hugging the person who is dear to me - lying next to the cat, petting it slowly and listening to how that adorable being purrs - realizing I have the ability to make people smile today - enjoying the music with eyes closed, absorbing every detail and melt into it - walking slowly to see the beauty in things that are deemed as ordinary - feeling my heartbeat, acknowledging the fact that I am able to live and breathe thanks to that little motor inside me purposes and dreams are beautiful. they are necessary and they have all the rights to be something which is prioritized. you wanting to be someone influential, rich or important is admirable. but, perhaps, it’s still okay if your purpose is to see the dawn, sunset or the night sky every day. it’s still beautiful if your dream is to enjoy and being grateful for having the present moment to live in. to walk slowly, to eat slowly, to slowly enjoy someone’s embrace, to brush your hair slowly, or just to live slowly.
