I get at least one scammer contacting me every other wee. For some people it's quite easy to spot Scammers and stop them before it's too late. However, a lot of intelligent people still fall victim to scams everyday. Smart people often overestimate their ability to detect fraud, making them overconfident and less cautious. Scammers prey on this overconfidence, tricking even seasoned professionals. Even cybersecurity experts have been tricked by sophisticated social engineering tactics. But, what scammers rely on the most is getting sympathy from their victims for a false situation. The unfortunate side effect is that victims may fear judgment or ridicule from family and friends, causing them to deny or downplay the situation, even refusing to report the crime or cooperate with the police. Emotional Manipulation: Scammers often use emotional tactics to exploit victims, fostering feelings of trust, friendship, or even love. Simple tips to keep yourself safe on this and other apps. Feel free to add more: Know who you're dealing with. Avoid sending money to anyone unless you have verified their identity. Guard your personal information. Be cautious about unsolicited messages from strangers that seem overly familiar with you. Resist pressure. Don't believe promises of easy money. Fully understand the offer. See if you can spot why I was able to detect these scammers .
