AFL Grand Final Day is a public holiday in Victoria, and last year I spent it at the Abbotsford Convent. It’s a former nunnery that’s now home to gardens, a little farm, a café, bakery, and a great restaurant (Cam’s Kiosk). One of the venues hosts a block party where the game is played in the courtyard, along with food and beer stalls - it was such a nice vibe. I think it will become my new Grand Final Day tradition.
