He has been one of my biggest inspirations to learn a language. I decided to learn Japanese around 2019, but then we had him and a great pause in time happened. My wife and I didn’t focus on anything as we spent most of our time caring for him and handling the daily chores. Days passed, he started to grow, and so did his knowledge. Now he has become our support system so quickly. At first, he struggled to speak-though, or maybe it was just our assumption. As time went on, he showed good improvement in understanding his mother tongue, Tamil, and began forming his own sentences with the words he had learned. Then some spark hit me, and I decided to restart my language learning. I started to learn Japanese in the same way he learns Tamil. I spent three months grasping words by watching movies, anime, documentaries, articles, and more. Later, I spent a couple of months learning the KANAs and then focused on building my vocabulary and grammar over the remaining months. But still I am not courageous enough to speak like him. 😅 This year, so many things have been running on my mind, thankfully many of them have passed. And I never thought playing the father role is a toughest of all. I’m still fighting to keep myself sane, but him - he just shares love, and love only. ## Images 1.
