Правильное написание предлогов «о», «об» и «обо» зависит от того, с какого звука (гласного или согласного) начинается последующее слово и в какой падежной форме оно употребляется: «О» — если слово начинается с согласных или гласных «ё», «е», «ю», «я». Например: «рассказать о работе», «думать о будущем».  «Об» — перед словами с начальными гласными «а», «и», «о», «у», «э». Например: «рассказать об успехах», «думать об одном и том же».  «Обо» — в сочетаниях типа «обо мне», «обо что», а также в выражениях «обо всем», «обо всех» и подобных. Например: «споткнуться обо все камни», «обо что ты споткнулся». The preposition "VO" is written if the word following the preposition begins with two consonant letters, the first of which is "V" or "F". In all other cases, the preposition "In" is used.
