역사를 돌아보면, 우리는 종종 넓은 영토를 확장하고 수많은 전쟁에서 승리한 이들을 위대한 영웅으로 기억합니다. 하지만 저는 진정으로 뛰어난 영웅이란, 전쟁 한가운데서도 의로움을 지키고, 적이든 아군이든 수많은 사람들의 생명을 소중히 여기는 사람이라고 믿습니다. 동양에서는 송나라 태조 조광윤과 충신 조빈이 그런 인물들이라 생각합니다. 중동에서는 살라딘이 원칙과 인간 생명을 중시했던 영웅으로 느껴집니다. 이 세 사람이 제가 진심으로 존경하는 영웅들입니다. 저는 세상에서 가장 찬란하게 빛나는 것이 위대한 전공이 아니라, 전쟁의 혼란 속에서도 올바름과 인간다움을 지키려는 자세라고 생각합니다. 그것이 훨씬 더 어렵고, 훨씬 더 위대한 일입니다. Looking back at history, we often see that great heroes are remembered for expanding vast territories and achieving victories in numerous wars. However, I believe that a truly remarkable hero is someone who, even in the midst of war, upholds righteousness and cherishes the lives of countless people—whether they are from the enemy's side or their own. In the East, I see Emperor Taizu of Song, Zhao Kuangyin, and the loyal official Zhao Bin as such figures. In the Middle East, I feel that Saladin was a hero who valued principle and human life. These three are the heroes I deeply respect. To me, what shines the brightest in this world is not great military achievements, but the ability to uphold integrity and humanity even in the chaos of war. That is far more difficult—and far more admirable.
