Today, I want to talk about practicing gratitude. We all need to be thankful for what we have, even if we consider it small. For example, be thankful that you have a roof over your head, because someone else is sleeping outside, under a bridge, or on cardboard boxes in a train station. Be thankful that you have food on your table, because someone out there is homeless, looking through garbage for something to eat. Be grateful if you have good parents, because some people were born in an orphanage or grew up with unloving, abusive parents who treated them like an outcast. Be thankful for the friends you have who truly care for and love you, because there are people out there who have no one to talk to and feel misunderstood and alone. The reason I say these things is because we often take for granted the things we consider small. But what seems small to us might be huge to someone else. That is why I always say: practice empathy, practice kindness, and spread love—because you never know how hard someone else has it. To anyone reading this: if you are arrogant, or you know someone who is arrogant, please read or share this message. Arrogance only sets you up for disappointment in life. The best way is through humility, because arrogance and pride will blind you to the blessings you already have—blessings that others may not. So practice gratitude. Be thankful for what you have, because one day you might not have it. Open your eyes to the blessings around you. I hope this message helps someone. Love you all. Continue to practice love, spread love, peace, and unity.
