Yesterday I played a strong game of shōgi with my friend, but we could not finish the game because the bar closed for the night. My friend and I decided to play a word game called “hangman” that is popular in South African elementary schools. We used romanji instead of hiragana, katakana and kanji because I can read and write very little hiragana, katana and kanji. So, I use romanji to help me learn to pronounce the words correctly. I have been listening to Japanese lessons while I train and I have learnt new words this week! I want to find other words games to help learn more vocabulary.
