"If you truly love me, you'll give everything I want." What a barbaric way of measuring one's love! In the Philippines, we use these five Tagalog idioms to counterattack that statement: 1. Makuha ka sa tingin (Just look into my eyes). No need to say a thousand words because their fierce look is their reply. 2. Pagputi ng uwak at pagitim ng tagak (If the crow turns white and the stork turns black). Some requests are impossible to grant unless we're Superman. 3. Ibinulid sa kamatayan (Push to death). Since we're aware of their capriciousness, if we agree, danger is next. 4. Gaano kadalas ang minsan? (How often is sometimes?) Because we love them, it's not bad to grant their wish at least once or thrice, but if they ask for more, it's another battle to ponder. Remember, anything in excess is perilous. If symptoms persist, consult your psychiatrist. Happy Sunday everyone 🤗☺️🤪
