When I heard the stories, The history, The pain, All I could think was It’s so unfair. I don’t know what to say, And I can’t change what’s been done. But I can offer this A simple poem, For her, And for her homeland. Because sometimes, Words are all I can give. So here is the poem......... Who I am I am the wind of the Zagros peaks, A voice that echoes through valleys deep,,,, Not Arab, not erased by time, But a Kurd, with a mountain soul that climbs. They call my home another name, Draw borders in ink, yet none can tame,,,, For Erbil beats like a sovereign heart,,,, Though torn apart, I am not apart. My tongue is the melody of my kin, A song of pain, of pride within, Why should I learn a borrowed word? When my truth is spoken,,, I am Kurd. Not a shadow of another land, But a sun that shines where I stand,,,, In every flag, in every prayer, My roots are strong,,, I am still here. And the translation...... My friend Asu translated that.. من کێم من بای لوتکەکانی زاگرۆسم، دەنگێک کە لە قوڵایی دۆڵەکاندا دەنگ دەداتەوە،،،، نە عەرەب، نە سڕینەوەی کات، بەڵام کوردێک، بە ڕۆحێکی شاخەوە کە سەردەکەوێت. ماڵەکەم ناوێکی تر دەڵێن، سنوورەکان بە ڕەنگ بکێشە، بەڵام هیچیان ناتوانێت ڕام بکات،،،، بۆ هەولێر وەک دڵێکی سەروەر لێدەدات،،،، هەرچەندە لەیەکتر دڕاوم، بەڵام لەیەکتر جیا نیم. زمانم ئاوازی خزمەکانمە، گۆرانییەکی ئازار، لە شانازی ناوەوە، بۆچی فێری وشەیەکی قەرزکراو بم؟ کاتێک حەقیقەتم دەوترێت،،، من کوردم. نەک سێبەری خاکێکی تر، بەڵام خۆرێک کە لە کوێ وەستاوم دەدرەوشێتەوە،،،، لە هەموو ئاڵایەکدا، لە هەموو نوێژێکدا، ڕەگ و ڕیشەم بەهێزە،،، هێشتا لێرەم. ## Images 1.
