🥣Milk Tea Pudding / Peach gum We bought a peach tree last year. It's in a pot and still tiny, but we harvested a dozen peaches last summer. My husband learned that the jelly-like substance on its bark was edible and collected some. I looked it up online and learned that it's a kind of a Chinese medicinal food called 桃膠 (とうきょう, peach gum). It's basically gelatin. So I made pudding with it.😁 The ingredients are very simple: milk, sugar, gelatin, and the peach gum. I tasted it while cooking and thought it was a bit bland, so I added red tea leaves in the strainer. And you know what, I don't need to buy convenience store desserts anymore! It tasted really good! I think I'm a super good cook.😁 By the way, you don't need peach gum to make this milk tea pudding. It has a delightful texture, but it's not a must.
