The Korea's linguistic diversity is rich and fascinating. I've read how dialects reflect a region’s history, environment, and temperament of its people. So, I have some questions: 1. I've read that "Standard Korean" is taught in most schools. Apparently it's also the dialect found in Seoul and Gyeonggi. So, is it possible to "soften" someone's 사투리? In other words, are you always able to tell, the region a fellow Korean is coming from, based on their speech? 2. How many dialects in Korea are there? I've read about six main ones, but does this division goes any further? Are there more sub-dialects? 3. I've read that Jejudo dialect is the most unique. Would you agree with that? As a Korean from other regions, would you be able to understand an elderly person speaking with Jejudo dialect? 4. Could you recommend me any dramas or variety shows where people speak with regional dialect? Or, if you feel comfortable with that, could you record a voice memo with speaking with your 사투리, please?
