أَلاَ هُبِّي بِصَحْنِكِ فَاصْبَحِيْنَـا 莫言持杯曉光開， "Awake, O lady, with your bowl, and pour for us at dawn." وَلاَ تُبْقِي خُمُـوْرَ الأَنْدَرِيْنَـا 安達佳釀莫徘徊。 "And do not leave behind the wines of Andarina." مُشَعْشَعَةً كَأَنَّ الحُصَّ فِيْهَـا 酒色晶瑩如星散， "Clear and glowing, as if stars were within it." إِذَا مَا المَاءَ خَالَطَهَا سَخِيْنَـا 清泉入盞暖意來。 "When water mingles with it, it becomes warm and inviting." تَجُوْرُ بِذِي اللَّبَانَةِ عَنْ هَـوَاهُ 此酒常令情迷亂， "It diverts the man of passion from his desire," إِذَا مَا ذَاقَهَـا حَتَّـى يَلِيْنَـا 一嘗柔心志自開。 "When he tastes it, until he softens and yields." تَرَى اللَّحِزَ الشَّحِيْحَ إِذَا أُمِرَّتْ 貪者羞顏財如塵， "You see the greedy miser, when it is passed before him," عَلَيْـهِ لِمَـالِهِ فِيْهَـا مُهِيْنَـا 羞愧自傷無顏彩。 "Shamed for his wealth, reduced to humiliation." صَبَنْتِ الكَأْسَ عَنَّا أُمَّ عَمْـرٍو 阿姆持杯不傳君， "You’ve withheld the cup from us, O Mother of ‘Amr," وَكَانَ الكَأْسُ مَجْرَاهَا اليَمِيْنَـا 原應右手笑顏開。 "And the cup was meant to pass to the right hand."
