At North of the Mountain lives an old man, known as Yugong.Because the mountains to the south blocked the way, Yugong's family had to take a detour when they came out and in.Therefore, Yugong summoned his whole family to remove the two mountains and build a road. Yugong led the three people who could carry the burden among his children and grandchildren up the mountain, chiseled stones, dug soil, and transported them to the edge of the Bohai Sea with a bucket.People nearby heard about it, and some people were willing to help him.You can only go back and forth once if you change seasons in winter and summer. An old man named Zhisou from Hequ came to persuade Yugong: “How many years can you live in the world?With your remaining years, how could it be possible to move two mountains?Yugong replied: “You are right, my power alone is indeed very limited."But I still have a son, and my son has a son again. There are endless children and grandchildren, and the mountains will not increase. Are you still afraid of uneven digging?” When the mountain god heard about this, he was terrified, so he reported it to the Emperor of Heaven.The Emperor knew it and was moved by Yugong's spirit, so he ordered the two sons of Hercules Kua'e to carry the two mountains away. ## Images 1.
