All of our young life, we are given responsibilities to pass exams and learning. And suddenly we are an adult and we have to find our own meaning and purpose. For me, I am trying to make a habit of long life learner and make it my life purpose. It can be either challenging myself to join a competition or as simple as listening to music and dig deeper about it's meaning. Recently l realized that learning is always side by side with doubting. Famous line from decrates is "dubito, ergo cogito, ergo sum" everything starts with doubt, we doubt to learn, we doubt to question everything we have learned, we doubt to be humbled, to reflect, to leave a room for second chance and to recognize other's presence. This doesn't mean tolerating harm or shrinking to accommodate someone else's delay. It means remembering that love doesn't always look like mastery. Sometimes it looks like patience, presence, and choosing each other through, the awkward, unfinished parts. Sometimes, we just forget to slow down, to look and listen, to let out empathy lingers. Sometimes we even hurt others who open up to us by changing it into lectures and criticism. Just like IQ alone will not be enough without EQ. Emotional Intelligence includes knowing when someone's hearts is in it, even if their tools are not sharp yet. We long for someone to extend their understanding for us when we are trying. We long for someone to give doubts to themselves and leave a room to see our perspectives. And therefore we will be able to see many reasons for all of us to continue learning from everyone. Giving each other's fresh perspective, sing together even if we don't know how to rhyme together, we will try and we will continue to try and learn endlessly. Smart people learn from everything and everyone. Average people from their experiences. Stupid people already know all the answers. - Socrates
