Today I had lunch with a friend from university. She lives in Osaka and came to Nagoya (where I live) on a business trip. So we had lunch together, but sadly, it was just for one hour, my lunch break. We met for the first time in five months. It felt a bit awkward (in a good way) to see a university friend while I was working, but it was soooo fun! There’s never enough time when I’m with my friends! I had oyakodon, udon, karaage, and a salad. By the way, the meaning of oyakodon is kind of scary. “Oyako” means parent and child—so it’s basically a dish made of chicken and egg🐔🥚
