Cò Lả "Cò Lả" is a traditional Vietnamese folk song, deeply rooted in the culture of the Red River Delta. Known for its soothing melody and poetic lyrics, the song reflects the peaceful countryside life and the gentle rhythm of rural labour. The imagery of the stork (cò) is symbolic, representing the grace and resilience of Vietnamese farmers. Often sung in a style called quan họ, a form of antiphonal singing, "Cò Lả" captures the charm of Vietnam's oral traditions and remains a cherished piece of the nation's musical heritage. This is a piece I have arranged and performed in a simple piano version for easy listening. I invite you to enjoy the beauty of traditional Vietnamese music.
