There is a market called Kawasaki Northern Market near my house. It is basically for professional vendors and restaurants, but after around 9AM, regular customers can come in and buy fresh meat and fish. There is a small restaurant street inside, where you can enjoy set meals with fresh fish and sushi. 家の近くに川崎北部市場という市場があります。基本的にはお店やレストランなどプロが利用する市場なんですが、9時過ぎになれば一般の人も新鮮なお肉やお魚を買うことができます。市場の中には小さな食堂街があって、新鮮なお魚の定食やお寿司などを食べることができます。 Lately stylish cafes and restaurants have appeared in this market, maybe because there are more vacant shops. The day before yesterday I went to a Vietnamese restaurant there for the first time. It was comfortable and the food was nice! However I thought it was a Vietnamese food cooked by Japanese for Japanese palate, because the spices and herbs were really mild. I don't think Vietnamese would be satisfied. たぶん空き店舗が多くなったからだと思うんですが、最近この市場の中におしゃれなカフェやレストランが増え始めました。一昨日初めてベトナム料理屋さんに行ったんですが、居心地もよくて味も美味しかったです。でもこれは日本人の作った日本人向けのベトナム料理だなぁと思いました。あまりスパイスも効いていないし、香草の香りも弱かったです。たぶんベトナムの方は満足しないだろうなぁ
