Some people pretend to be from the US and send a link—don’t tap it. Some ask you to register WeChat and share the SMS code—never do that. Some “native teachers” push paid courses but their English is weak. Some start a fast “romance” and later ask for money or cards. Stay safe: check profile history and real posts/voice, ask for a quick voice/video hello, keep chat inside the app, don’t open unknown links or files, don’t give codes, ID, bank details, or location, and don’t register accounts for others.
