I had an argument with a foreigner today. He showed me a bunch of photos of himself eating at a Michelin-starred restaurant tonight and then said, "But I guess you've never had this." I thought that was really unfriendly, so I said something rude! But he thought I should provide more emotional value and say, "Oh, why did you go to a fancy restaurant?"
