I’ve been so stressed lately over a test that has nothing to do with English. Even though I already work full-time, I still have to keep taking exams for the sake of my career… and honestly, sometimes I just get tired of living like this. In Japan, it’s normal to start working right after graduating, but sometimes I wish we had more of a culture like other countries, where people travel the world after school before jumping into a job. Still, I guess I should be thankful that finding a job here isn’t as hard as it is in some other countries. Of course, there are people who travel the world after graduating, but doing that can make it a bit harder to get a job later on, or you might miss out on companies with better working conditions. For Japanese people, stuff like “are you doing the same thing as everyone else?” or “do you stand out too much?” can actually affect how you’re judged when job hunting. It’s kinda sad, but that’s just how it is here.
