My path to Español (Spanish Spanisch 스페인어 西班牙语): Connecting Dots. 🌎🫶🗣️ It's been a few months since I decided to pursue my big passion: Español! I'm absolutely enjoying every moment. Un idioma nuevo, so I decided to experiment with a new method: leveraging 4 languages to strengthen my Spanish. Here's my story. 1. Learning Spanish through English was a natural first step since there are lots of quality learning materials available. Interestingly, I sound more flirtatious and passionate when I learn Spanish using English. ❤️🔥📚 2. Next, I introduced German. Weirdly, studying Spanish through German created a sense of déjà vu from when I learned German from scratch. This way reinforced my German knowledge. Cool to keep it alive! 💪 3. Then, I tried using Korean. It doesn't help me learn grammar or vocabulary directly, but it speeds up to get overall meaning. This proves that Korean remains my primary mental framework. (I think much faster in Korean)🧠 4. Finally, I decided to add Mandarin, too. At first, everything felt odd, but my brain adapted surprisingly. Since I'm still working with simple content, there's no interference from my other languages yet. It's fascinating to see how the brain connects dots between the two. 😲 This trial-and-error approach may make my progress feel slower, but I genuinely enjoy building a strong foundation in Spanish and creating richer connections across all my languages.
