When I was a young girl, I was told to blow on a seeded dandelion

and make a wish. If you blow it all gone, then the wish will come true. Is it the same story for kids where you grew up? If not, I will share mine with you. Go ahead and make a wish!

    Hi, Cori, it is a good custom(superstition) for dandelions. If you blow it, It can spread more of its seed and farther. Your blowing activity is a blessing for dandelions. Thanks. It reminds me of my childhood.

    It's really beautiful story. It's really amazing to blow my mind to a flower seed and to make my dream come true as all the flying flower seeds are gone

    @Corinne But I think it is the best to export dandelions to Korea where they use them as herbal medicine due to your fields are covered with dandelions.😄

    I remember, When I was a child my mother had said it to me :)) if the my blow would reach to the sky by wind then my wish will come true. But I didn't believe it so much but made a wish. Some time later I forgot the story but kept blowing because I liked to blow it. I haven't heard this story from any of my friends. I think it's not popular/common 😃

    @james muse Glad you made a wish! So you think of your wish first and then blow! But if you don't get all the seeds of the stem and into the air, then supposedly your wish doesn't cone true. And I can't tell you my wish or it won't come true!

    Tell us what happened after the particular dandelion knew your wish. In addition, did you make a wish first or blow it first? If the order influences the turning out? Is this a bit of hustle to blow and make a wish? Anyway, I make a wish under your post. Read your writing more!

    when i was young ,i also like to blow them in order to let them fly far,i was very happy when i saw them fling freely in the sky,hopely they can grow and bloom anywhere next year.maybe this is my wish for them.

    Yes I did it too, that’s a wonderful memory I will never forget. It flew far away carrying my minds,where it would go ,would it miss its mum,would it meet the fairy, where would be its new home,whatever it would be an exciting adventure ,or maybe a memorable travel ,may it be would bring my little wish to god oh please please let my wish sit on your soft cushion,I promise it is totally not overweight. I want to see my granny,tell her I want to see my granny...

    Never heard! But I think it’s so lovely❤️ My wish is to live in the US for a while and travel to India and Africa, then if I still want, live rest of my life in Mexico.
