Yes! It's actually very simple. First you need chickpeas (ひよこ豆), can or dry are both ok, dried beans take a longer time to cook but they taste better!
You need to mash the cooked beans in a blender or food processor until they are almost smooth. Then add some minced garlic (1 or 2 cloves), olive oil (1 Tbsp), lemon juice (1 Tbsp), tahini (or 練ごま, 1 Tbsp), and salt (1/2 tsp). Blend it more. If it's too thick, you can add some of the water from the beans, so don't pour it out when you cook them or open the can!
Taste the hummus, if it seems too weak add a little more lemon juice, salt, or tahini (練ごま) and taste again until it's just right.
To serve, sprinkle a little paprika, sumac, or chili powder on top and drizzle a little olive oil on top
(I like to out hot sauce on it too!)
