I envy those who have childhood friends. I have moved about 15 times in my life so far. The older you get, the harder it is to make friends, don’t you think?

    @みーこ surprisingly, I haven’t made friends with many other moms. Most of them have many kids and I only have one. So they talk about babies and many of them don’t have time for any hobbies. We are friendly but we never grow close.

    @Koji wtte you’re right, I think it is easier to meet people with the internet! Just a little harder to form lasting friendships.

    @Amber アンバー Ohhh if I lived near you, I would definitely let my kids play with your son, and we could be friends!! I can’t make new local friends too. Because I am not good at English, so I’m not sure what I should talk to them.

    I am very lucky that I have many friends. Few of them are when I was little kid. And others are school mates. I don’t have a so called friends from colleagues. I agree with you anyway.

    I moved to this place when I got married, so 8 years ago. I tried to make friends, so joined yoga circle, running circle, and so on. But everyone was much older than me. I thought age is doesn’t matter, but we couldn’t go to shopping together, couldn’t talk about fashion.... I’m still alone.

    @ちえみ Eve I totally understand. I moved here less than 5 years ago. And I also joined social groups like that, but people either weren’t my age or had nothing in common with me. We got along, but never formed real friendships. My best friends live far away and we don’t get to see each other more than once or twice a year. I wonder why it’s so hard to form meaningful relationships?
