おはよう!

In America, a popular sandwich is a "French Dip Au Jus

" (Au Jus means with juice)

The sandwich is not French at all 🤣😅

It is just beef cooked in a light gravy/broth with Italian seasoning and little peppers, then you dip the sandwich in the broth!

I cook Japanese food often, but this is one of my favorite American foods! 🤤

Have a good day everyone!

がんばって!

I’ve never seen that, but I can hear my daughter’s stomach start to growl. She would like they so much. Is it regional? Maybe you live in the South? We’re in New York.

I guess there is a similar dish in China Xian (home of the Terracotta warriors) called ''Rou Jia Mo '' They finely chop pork cooked in seasoned broth together with some condiments, while adding in some of the broth. then they take a toasted 'Mo' (kinda like a small nan) slice open the middle and put in the chopped meat with the broth. so it's crispy on the outside and flavorfully soggy inside. my Japanese friend loved it, called it the Chinese hamburger

@GreenM it is very similar to a roast beef sandwich! The sauce is good and the bread soaks it up so nicely. This was very easy to make!

@Steven I live in Illinois! French Dips originated in California though. Perhaps they are slowly making their way East to New York 😊

@ I have to go in blind often with Asian foods. The Chinese and Japanese restaurants here only serve the more Americanized things. Like our Japanese restaurants only serve sushi and teriyaki... no okonomoyaki, tonkatsu, tamagoyaki! 😫

@Katelynn ケイトリン Not sure about Japanese foods... but some of the Chinese foods in the west are shocking to say the least haha! you're right, might be better off going in blind 😂
