最近は、色々な人が、I appreciate itと間違ってI appreciate youを書くことに気付いたんですが


この前に、ある人にその違いを解説したので、皆さんにも共有したいと思いました。

I really appreciate youとは、親しい友達、恋人、家族などを、大切にすることを表す表現です。その人と出会ったことや、今まで友達で居ることが出来て有り難いであるさま。その人が自分の人生に居て幸せであるさま。

I appreciate youと言ったら、相手のことに感謝してる意味です。相手が何かしてくれた事ではなくて、相手自体が居てくれて有り難いです。
What you say you appreciate someone, it means you appreciate them specifically, not just the things they did for you. It's a really nice thing to say to someone. It can make the person you say it to really happy if they care about you too.

I appreciate itのitは、相手の行為とか、何かしてくれたことを意味します。
そして、
「(そうしてくれて)感謝します」を英語にしたかったら、
I appreciate what you did for me.
I appreciate that you did that for me.
英語で目的語を言わなくてはいけないので、what you did for meをitに短くします。
