Hi guys, English moment tonight because meh, I'm tired.

I thought

I'd show off the best photos I took this week. Sorry if you've seen them already. Consider this a cultural lesson about my hometown and Kiwi culture if anything.

1-Mushroom Dissonance
This shot was overexposed and taken on top of Mt Vic. Usually people come here to take photos of themselves jumping on these cute little mushroom air vents. I decided to try something different and I like the weird effect it gives off.
2-Onward and Upward
I think this displays Auckland's current state right now. We have old Colonial institutions on one side and the unknown rapid rate of land development on the other side. Even during this crazy year a large amount of properties have been sold and buildings have been knocked down in Auckland city.
3-Vivacious View from Mt Vic
I think I got lucky with this pic? I'm not sure but what I do know is that I'm lucky to live where I do with a view like this. I hope if you're reading this that you can come here someday too.
4-Twilight Trip
Another lucky shot, I didn't even see the couple on their electric scooters on the right until I came home to work on the pics. I simply liked the light and dark contrast from the warm lights on the right.
5-Problem solved
This is Lake Road in Devonport, it's the only way out of Devonport by car and traffic is a major issue. In accidentally kicking my tripod I solved the traffic issue by creating another lane 😅.
6-The Big Blue Giant
ANZ isn't the biggest Giant (Financial giant) in NZ anymore but it's a giant nevertheless.
7-Untitled
This photo is more a reminder for me to enjoy the feeling of taking photos instead of playing around with settings like a madman all the time.
8-Nautical Nocturne
Another contrasted shot that I liked. It has "dark notes" to it and I figured it was a good enough name. Auckland city has a lot of weird but cool clouds.

9-Marama's light This is another pic that was more about learning something. Namely focus and iso adjustment. I love night photography but I hate noise. My ultimate goal is to get good at capturing night photography that blows people's minds. "Marama" is the Maori goddess of the moon. Just thought I'd name the photo that for educations sake. No voice message tonight guys. There will be one tomorrow though, take it easy.

More of this please 👍 Why the streets look so Christmasy already?😅 I miss living next to the water. Water has such a magical energy.... I lived in Odaiba in Tokyo for a year, right inside the Tokyo bay. Loved jogging along the water at night and watching ship loaders work...♥️

@Tanya Oh my god I'm so jealous. Odaiba is my favorite Christmas spot in the whole wide world. I have no idea why the city is looking so good at the moment but I'm not complaining 😅. I'll totally be taking more pics (and setting up a small shop to sell them off to anyone interested 😉).

@赤髭 why specifically Christmas? I liked Odaiba best in summer because there were always some cool events going on. The only problem was that they usually took place right next to our dorm, so it was crazy loud. I'd normally have to escape from it somewhere in the city if I wasn't interested in the event because staying in the room was unbearable 😅

@Tanya it was more the mood and overall experience of taking the Yurikamome to Odaiba. I didn't live around there so just seeing everything lit up during Christmas was really really beautiful (remember its summer here during Christmas sooo it's a rarity for me 😅). I lived in Saitama and then Koganei city and was working like a madman during the summer usually. No time for summer fun 😓🤣.

I'm sure there are many people, myself included, who would love to visit your country after seeing your photos. They are all really great. I like the third picture the best. And the sixth picture reminded me of the story of the All Blacks.Since then, I've learned about them and watched their videos.I've seen them dance many times. They are very cool.

@赤髭 awww...were you working as an English teacher or something? Christmas in summer is a concept I have hard time wrapping my head around 😅 I used to go to school by yurikamome every day! That was the only pleasant part of my commute, lol. Have you been to Miraikan? One of my fave places in Tokyo. A cool museum and always interesting temporary exhibitions.
